Juanita Ratner is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado with a private practice at the Capitol Hill Healing Center in downtown Denver. Juanita earned her Master's in Community Counseling in 1998 from Adams State College and a PhD in Psychology in 2017 from Saybrook University. She holds certificates in Dream Studies and Foundations of Existential-Humanistic Psychotherapy and apprenticed in trauma studies. She is a Teacher-in-Training with the Existential-Humanistic Institute and is a mentor to other therapists. Juanita offers workshops on the dimensions of presence, using poetry in counseling sessions, and Searching for My Real Self. She has published in the Journal of Humanistic Psychology, The Springer Encyclopedia of Personality and Individual Differences, The Springer Encyclopedia of Psychology and Religion, PsychCritiques, and in poetry anthologies published by University Professors Press.
